Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress is well known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. She has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards as well as sixteen NAACP Image Awards. Angela Evelyn is an American actor. Bassett was raised by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Her birthplace was and raised in New York New York. Her mother split with her father at around five. Her younger sister relocated from the city of St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett was in high school and watched John Steinbeck's production Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. After graduating at Yale University New Haven Connecticut in 1980, with a Bachelor's Degree in African American Studies, she was able to obtain the Master's degree (1983) at the Yale School of Drama. She met Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Bachelor of Arts (Afro-American study) in 1980. A Master of Fine Arts (Drama) from Yale School of Drama School. Angela Bassett has been cast in one the leading roles of Ramonda for the action movie i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
